Craven Community College is seeking to expand our pool of part-time faculty to teach classes in the Workforce Development Department. Openings for these positions may not exist at the present time; however, upon review of your qualifications, you may be contacted directly by the department on an as needed basis.- Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides accessible, quality learning experiences within the classroom
- Facilitates the learning process to help students refresh mathematical skills such as time management, abstract thinking, data analysis and middle school and high school math subject, including: Algebra 1, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry & Trigonometry,
- Completes required course assessments and documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure that the program is meeting the needs of business and industry standards for potential job placement.
- The instructor accomplishes this by presenting discipline specific learning outcomes through pre and post testing lecture, demonstration, labs, projects, assignments, appropriate classroom management, and Test-Prep materials.
- This position will be based on the Havelock, NC campus.
- Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Preferred:
Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Certified Master Training Specialist (MTS) or DOD training equivalent.
Classroom instruction experience.
Experience with Program and Curriculum Development.- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have a deep understanding of the following:
- Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with and maintain positive working relationships with students, peers, supervisors, and staff
- Working knowledge of MS Office products
- Ability to demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom
