Overview:
Position Summary:
The Program Specialist is a pivotal team member in the Armenia Program at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), tasked with overseeing the daily operations of specialized programs dedicated to revolutionizing healthcare education in Armenia. Collaborating closely with the Armenian EyeCare Project (AECP), the Specialist coordinates and directs program activities to achieve goals and objectives within specified time frames and in compliance with CHLA and other relevant agencies' policies. Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Specialist plays a crucial role in supervising and directing these initiatives, including our innovative online resources, neonatology training, health informatics program, and annual conferences. This position contributes to the program's overall success in positively impacting healthcare education in Armenia.
 

The Program Specialist will ensure a smooth workflow between our stakeholders in the US and abroad. The primary focus will be developing and supervising the creation of educational content, including translation and localization, as well as executing and managing project plans for courses, newsletters, boot camps, and podcasts and overseeing the administration and operation of the program website and Learning Management System. Managing project budgets and resource plans, monitoring vendor and contractor performance, providing regular status updates to senior management and other stakeholders, and contributing to organizing international conferences, including conference registration, marketing and promotion, and on-site management.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experienc
e: 2+ or more years managing small to medium programs and teams based in non-profit, healthcare or academic settings. The ability to interact with the diverse group of stakeholders, including faculty, staff, providers, patients and families, community partners and leaders in the field.

Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
Pay Scale Information: CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
