About the Department
The Human Resources Department supports the staff at NYRR in numerous areas, setting strategy and directing operations of all talent acquisition and event-based human resources, including part-time staff, contract, and outsourced services, managing recruiting efforts and staffing functions. The HR team is responsible for onboarding activities and orientations, benefit optimization and administration, wellness initiatives, managing our ADP HR modules, compliance guidelines and workplace policies, and serves as a resource to DES employee relations to manage performance and provide opportunities for employee training and development. The department is responsible for maintaining, analyzing, and optimizing all data, systems, and administration within the HR function, ensuring data integrity and facilitation of HR reporting and analytics in our HRIS and payroll systems. Internal Communications works to increase employee engagement and build internal alignment and awareness. The HR department works closely with each department to understand their specific needs and works to meet those needs, ensuring that NYRR provides an environment in which employees can innovate and succeed in their positions.
 
About the Position
The Director, HR Data and Analytics role is responsible for managing the organization’s employee data, including maintenance, analysis, optimization of data, systems, and administration within the Human Resources function. This role works closely with staff on all levels to determine status changes and handle confidential data. The Director manages supporting staff and works closely with the HR and DES leaders to facilitate HR reporting and analytics in Human Resource Information Systems, covering employment and payroll systems, performance management systems and eLearning systems. In addition, the Director coordinates activities for HR changes with the IT and Office Operations departments. This role is instrumental in ensuring the data integrity within Human Resources, while working daily with employees on confidential payroll and status processing changes.
 
Job Responsibilities (primary and secondary duties):
  • Responsible for HRIS data integrity, evaluating strategy for compensation, reporting, and making recommendations as needed for HR and DES purposes for NYRR
  • Responsible for maintenance and optimization of performance management and eLearning systems
  • Direct the preparation and maintenance of metrics and reporting for management to give insight into analytics to inform HR decisions for the organization
  • Process and provide quality assurance of multiple, sensitive HR administration duties, including payroll and status changes for employees
  • Partner with other leaders in HR Benefits Administration and Payroll Administration to ensure data integrity with all stages of the employee lifecycle
  • Process and maintain integrity of all onboarding and offboarding tasks for employees, including processing of I-9 forms via E-Verify system
  • Budget liaison for HR department, interacting with Finance on budget maintenance and analytics
  • Update reports and records, utilizing knowledge of HR and management needs with regard to staffing, org charts, payroll, and DES data
  • Work closely with VP, HR, SVP, DES and Head of Employee Relations to evolve policies and processes as related to HR Data and Analytics
  • Work closely with employees in all departments, acting as a point person for questions related to sensitive information on status, pay, policies, and benefits
  • Manage supporting staff, providing leadership and mentoring while ensuring data integrity
  • Oversee processing of monthly billings and invoices
  • Work with HR team members to respond to HR Zendesk inquiries
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Job Requirements
Experience:
  • 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in Human Resources or Compensation
  • 5 years of experience working with Human Resource data systems
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in analytics, reporting, and best practices
  • Proven competency in problem solving and analyzing situations, determining optimal strategy and approach
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of staff and management throughout the organization
Skills and Attributes:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Excellent computer skills in HRIS systems, including skills in database management and record-keeping
  • Experience in ADP Workforce Now, Halogen (SABA) Software, Skillsoft/Percipio systems preferred
  • Expressed and demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

  • Excellent multi-tasking, project management, interpersonal, and people management skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, and exhibit professionalism always
  • Active affiliation with appropriate industry networks and organizations, preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work 3 large weekend events throughout year
Salary: $90k - $100k
