Job Title: HVAC Light Commercial Technician

Job Summary

Mesa Energy Systems has an immediate need for HVAC Light Commercial Technicians in the Southern California area. This position is responsible for the preventative maintenance of commercial air conditioning and heating systems below 7.5 tons.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Change and service filters, oil & grease bearings and perform belt adjustment and replacement services.
• Cooling tower and condenser maintenance - coils, evaporators and tubes
• Clean and perform routine maintenance as required
• Perform indoor air quality related maintenance including but not limited to the cleaning of duct systems and drain pans.
• General housekeeping tasks that are required by the customer to operate mechanical equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Understanding of basic mathematics.
• Strong oral and written communication required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand, sit or squat for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift, move and carry material up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders and work at extended heights.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). i.e. but not limited to, dust mask, gloves, eye protection and hearing protection.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to successfully pass EMCOR and customer required background checks.
