The American Diabetes Association is seeking a Research Coordinator who will work as a member of the Research Programs team supporting grant management operations and oversee department related activities. This person will report to the Managing Director, Research Programs. This is a full-time remote four-month temporary position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and streamline grant management processes.
  • Update grant management external materials and templates to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee the coordination, logistics, and planning of Research Program related events and activities at ADA’s Scientific Sessions. Work closely with participating stakeholders including invitations, logistics (virtual and in-person) and other details.
  • Monitor inquiries to the general inbox and communicate with grantees and their sponsored research teams.
  • Oversee the planning and logistics for the ‘Spotlight the Science’ series.
  • Creates and updates department standard operating procedures, as needed.
  • Strong competencies in planning, project management, and organization with the ability to lead multiple activities and resources while maintaining a focus on quality.
  • Ability to produce and present clear, concise, and professionally written communications and presentations for a diverse spectrum of audiences.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1- 2+ years of experience in project management
  • Ability to meet deadlines, set priorities and demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail is a major requirement for consideration in this position.
  • Ability to work in a team-focused work environment, as well as ability to work independently on assigned tasks
  • Exceptional skills using technology are required, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong copy editing and communication skills
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities

Compensation Range: $22.00 - $27.00/hr DOE
