Summary: DACC, a responsive, accessible, comprehensive, learning-centered community college that provides education opportunities to a diverse community of learners is inviting candidates to apply for the following vacant position:
Classification Summary:
- Prepare for and teach 30 credit hours over Fall and Spring semester in the Business Department curriculum. Teach assignment may include day, evenings, weekends, online, and/or multiple campus locations.
- Develop, revise, and update curriculum in collaboration with department faculty.
- Serve as the lead instructor for multi-section courses. Develop and teach online courses.
- Conduct classroom assessment of student learning and participate in program, department, and college assessment.
- Collaborates with department faculty to revise and update course curriculum to stay current within the discipline and workplace trends. Develops, revises and updates program curricula in collaboration with faculty including online courses.
- Instruct, support, advise, and provide timely feedback to students in accordance with DACC policy and procedures. Function as advisory to students, both individually and to student clubs and groups.
- Participate in and serve on department, division, and college committees, program advisory councils, task forces, and working groups.
- Maintain professional and academic competence and participate in professional development activities.
- Maintain office hours as mandated by division and college policy.
- Participates in department/program student recruitment and advising events.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Classification Standard Duties:
Required Education, Experience, Certification/License, Equivalency
- Master's degree in business administration, Marketing, Economics, Management or closely related business-oriented field.
- 2-years successful relevant full-time teaching experience (or equivalent) in a community college/post-secondary institution

- Experience with Distance Education technologies and teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills working with students, colleagues, staff, supervisors, and the community.
- Endorsement of the teaching philosophy of DACC which supports a goal of success for all students through hands-on learning experiences, strong faculty involvement, and proactive curriculum development.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively teach students from diverse academic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds.
- Experience with student advising and/or student clubs
- Demonstrated ability to perform collaboratively within a work group.
- Computer literacy and the ability to use appropriate technology.
