President & CEO

Ronald McDonald Charities of Southwest Florida is seeking a dynamic and experienced President and CEO to lead our dedicated team as we continue to fulfill our mission to create and provide programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families in Southwest Florida. In 2023, we provided over 2,900 overnight stays at the Ronald McDonald House, 2,200 visits to the Ronald McDonald Family Room, and served over 7,000 children through our Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. The President/CEO plays a pivotal role in the execution of the strategic plan, overseeing the operations of all programs, strengthening existing community relationships and generating new ones, and leading our team in a professional manner with respect, compassion, enthusiasm, and inspiration.

WHO WE ARE
In the late 1980s, a community-minded group of individuals came together to raise funds to build a Ronald McDonald House. In 1991, The Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Florida became incorporated, and in December 1996, The Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Florida opened its doors to children and families. In 2003, we incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and became the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwest FL (RMHC SWFL). We have continued to expand to serve families and children in our community…

  • In 2004 – We added our first Ronald McDonald Care Mobile to serve children in Collier County.
  • In 2017 – We added a second Ronald McDonald Care Mobile to serve children in Lee, Hendry, and Charlotte counties.
  • In 2017 – That same year, the Ronald McDonald Family Room opened in Golisano Children’s Hospital.
  • In 2019, the 6-bedroom House was expanded and renovated to a 12-bedroom home-away-from-home for families of critically ill children.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversight of all programs
· Personnel Management
· Fiscal Management
· Strategic leadership to accomplish goals established by Board of Directors
· Development
· Stewardship
· Community participation and visibility throughout our region
· Present for office hours Monday – Friday, nights and weekends as needed
· Other duties and responsibilities as may be determined by Board of Directors and/or RMHC Global

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· 5+ years successful executive leadership experience
· 3+ years successful experience in a not-for-profit environment (preferred)
· Proven leadership and problem-solving skills
· Demonstrated ability to effectively manage teams, multiple projects, and priorities
· Demonstrated communication skills
· Demonstrated development success in a not-for-profit environment
· Demonstrated successful experience working with a Board of Directors

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Passion for the mission of RMHC SWFL
· Demonstrated inspired leadership and management skills, preferably in a not-for-profit environment
· Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication, analytical decision-making, and problem solving skills
· Demonstrated professional presence and confident public speaker
· Demonstrated effectiveness in interactions with diverse staff, volunteers, community leaders, RMH residents, and members of the Board of Directors, utilizing organizational skills, positive attitude, creative and energetic approach to maintain a collaborative and successful team.
· Demonstrated ability to positively interact in a confident, sensitive and diplomatic way with constituents, donors, residents, volunteers, partners (hospital staff, owner/operators) to achieve goals.
· Ability to creatively allocate resources (personnel, materials, approved budget).
· Willingness to be flexible with assignments, goals, and changing priorities.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
