This full-time position is a one-year appointment at the Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research with possible extension. It is a non-faculty, professional position. Post-doctoral Research Scholars train under the direction and supervision of faculty mentors in preparation for academic or research careers. The position emphasizes scholarship and research training for doctors of chiropractic. Competitive applicants will want to advance chiropractic research and practice, be motivated and innovative, be able to work in teams and independently, work best in a collaborative environment and want to be mentored by leading chiropractic researchers.

- Ability to perform assigned duties with time pressures and frequent interruptions.
- Ability to demonstrate exemplary dependability in the performance of job duties.
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of cooperation and teamwork behavior.
- Ability to complete a high volume of work on extended basis.
- Ability to utilize general office equipment and other necessary equipment.
- Ability to utilize personal computer and various software packages.
- Ability to analyze and resolve critical problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work various hours as job requires.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Appointment as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar requires a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
Training and experience in clinical and/or health services research is desired.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Performs sedentary to light work in a ventilated, lighted, and temperature controlled office setting.
- Frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, lift light objects (up to 10 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the workday.
