POSITION SUMMARY
The Community Program Coordinator for Professional Learning is responsible for assisting in planning, organizing, and executing program activities. The Community Program Coordinator for Professional Learning will report to the Director of Community Programs and participate in supporting stakeholder relationships, managing operations, developing programs, and enhancing external relations. The Community Program Coordinator for Professional Learning works closely with school leadership teams, teachers, and external stakeholders. Within the team their work will have a particular focus on either developing plans to implement the professional learning modules of the School2Home program with the goal of helping teachers to incorporate digital tools and digital equity in the classroom or supporting SVEF’s larger portfolio of professional learning programs beyond School2Home, including the Assessment for Learning (AFL) series and the annual Math Summit.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Support
Support the organization and implementation of year-round School2Home program in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Serve as the primary SVEF point of contact for and maintain relationships with a caseload of schools in the School2Home program.
Attend, identify action items from, and follow-up on regular meetings with school leadership teams in caseload.
Represent program at community events to support schools in School2Home network with implementation of program for parents, teachers, and students.
Develop content for and collaborate with team to plan and execute annual convening of School2Home network at the NorCal School2Home Leadership Academy.
Collaborate with team to plan and lead monthly webinars and communities of practice for members of school leadership teams diving deeper into the best practices of the School2Home program.
Order program supplies, pack and deliver program kits for successful implementation of School2Home events.
Record notes and important information at all initiative meetings.
Support the program team with data gathering, auditing data, and maintaining logisticssheets.
Develop expertise in and serve as a consultant for School2Home School Leadership Teams regarding the Professional Learning component of the School2Home Program.
Facilitate or co-facilitate professional learning modules across School2Home network as requested throughout the academic year.
Own the development and implementation of webinars and communities of practice focused on professional learning for the School2Home network.
Coordinate day to day logistical planning and interaction with school districts, teachers and other partners regarding the AFL series and the annual Math Summit.
Attend regular planning meetings for the AFL series and Math Summit.
Develop and monitor processes to support rigorous selection of presenters for annual Math Summit.
Coordinate the planning and organizing of teacher recruitment activities, and management of the registration and attendance process for all events in series.
Other duties as assigned.
Marketing and Outreach
Collaborate with Marketing and Communications team to develop strategies and activities to recruit more schools and advertise benefits of programs, including but not limited to, production of recruitment materials and planning of school and family outreach.
Ensure timely submission of work orders to marketing and communications team and operations team for production of marketing collateral and updates to SVEF website.
Fundraising
Assist Fund Development with corporate volunteer engagement.
Participate in SVEF events, including training, fundraising and outreach, and program activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or relevant project coordination experience, preferably in education.
Demonstrated experience working with underrepresented students and families.
Strong organizational skills, ability to coordinate multiple tasks and support projects of varying complexity concurrently.
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Ability to develop, monitor, and assure compliance with processes and policies.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at various levels of responsibilities (volunteers, SVEF staff, school representatives, and other community partners)
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills
Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule. Position requires occasional work during evenings and weekends.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite products, and video conferencing platforms (ie. WebEx, Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).
Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation; periodic regional travel required.
Additional Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Spanish or Vietnamese proficiency strongly preferred.
Non-profit experience.
Background in education (teaching or advocacy work).
PREFFERED START DATE AND SALARY PARAMETERS
Preferred start date as soon as possible.
Salary commensurate with experience, range $66,560.00- $68,560.00.
