All God's Children International is actively seeking a dedicated individual to serve as our HR Manager. The Human Resources Manager will play a key role in supporting our mission by overseeing all aspects of human resources functions. The HR Manager will collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR policies, manage recruitment and onboarding processes, foster a positive workplace culture, and ensure compliance with relevant employment laws.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy and Planning
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and performance.
- Provides support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
Compensation and Benefits Administration
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Utilize Benefit Administration Portals for new hires, coordinate annual open enrollment meeting, administer changes in the system, review monthly carrier invoices.
- Share information and resources on benefits with staff, answer basic benefit related questions.
Policy Development and Compliance
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- File management and audit of confidential HR paperwork
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Review Employee Handbook and make policy recommendations to Executive Team annually
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Utilize Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for posting job listings, create job descriptions, review resumes, schedule/complete phone screens, send assessments, schedule follow-up interviews with staff and candidate, reserve rooms, call references & schedule travel for candidate if needed. Prepare and send offer letter. Ensure candidates receive professional communication throughout the recruitment process including closing out candidates that are not selected.
- Send new hire paperwork to employees, schedule their orientation meetings for their first two weeks, send new hire checklists to appropriate departments, welcome the new hire, coordinate any questions, create new hire HR files, process background checks, and provide and review benefits enrollment.
Employee Relations
- Promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives
- Analyze employee feedback surveys and provide recommendations to Executive Team
- Assist in organizing monthly staff meetings and planning staff retreats
- Celebrate staff birthdays, anniversaries, and other special events
Performance Management
- Deploy and track quarterly and annual staff reviews
- Provide guidance to managers for performance reviews and help managers resolve performance concerns
Coordination with Payroll
- Work closely with Senior Accountant to provide updates for payroll system such as pay changes, benefits deductions, staff changes, etc.
General Office and HR Management
- Staff and Contractor Travel-collect documents prior to travel
- Respond to employment verification requests in keeping with company policy.
- Maintenance of central calendar to track travel, anniversaries, and birthdays
- Occasional travel may be required
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; prefer business or human resources related degree.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Human Resources certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP is strongly preferred.
This position requires the successful completion of an extensive criminal background check. All candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
COMPENSATION
$75,000 - $85,000/year depending on experience.
