WHAT YOU’LL DO
 
Teach for America Florida is looking for a dynamic professional to set and execute a vision for statewide recruitment, build and manage key program partnerships, and observe and analyze success. The Director, Regional Recruitment & Program Partnership will lead, in tandem with the national Recruitment Team, in recruiting corps members, Ignite fellows, and alumni within and to the state to grow and further diversify our talent pipelines, as well as build and manage the relationships with schools, districts, and charter management organizations.

The goal of this role is to grow and further strengthen our talent pipelines by recruiting diverse, dedicated individuals to our core programs and building strong relationships with organizations that are most proximate to students.
 
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
 
Recruitment Initiatives (50%)
  • Set and execute a bold, ambitious recruitment strategy to grow our corps member, Ignite fellow, and alumni talent pipelines in size and diversity
  • Elevate our program initiative narratives to key partners and stakeholders to grow our talent
  • Serve as a liaison to the national Recruitment team and work closely with regional recruiters across the state to align strategy and maximize opportunities.
  • Manage the regional team to strategically direct capacity toward recruitment events and engagement
 
Partnership Management (25%)
  • Build and manage program partnerships, including those for Ignite, alumni talent, summer training, in-service and non-Teach For America teacher training initiatives, etc., that result in increasing the impact aligned with our 2030 goal.
  • Analyze the impact of partnerships and initiatives and use the data to inform strategies to strengthen them and increase impact.
 
Ignite Fellowship (25%)
  • Design and lead the execution of partnerships and local components for our Ignite Fellowship, including recruitment initiatives, partnerships with schools, CMOs, and districts, MOU negotiation, etc.
  • Partner with the national Ignite team to successfully launch new school sites by conducting site visits, engaging in troubleshooting, and progress monitoring
 
Agile Teamwork
  • Operate with flexibility to support the team as needed and complete other duties as assigned
 
A WEEK IN THE LIFE
 
Over the course of any week, the Director, Regional Recruitment & Program Partnerships will spend time:
  • Planning and executing strategic recruitment engagements, including events, one-on-one meetings, and informational sessions
  • Working closely with the Recruitment team to align on key strategies and goals
  • Developing and stewarding partnerships with external organizations to increase our program participants' impact on student achievement
  • Collecting and analyzing data related to our program participants' satisfaction, conversion rates, etc.
  • Supporting our Ignite fellowship sites to successfully launch by conducting routine site visits, supporting any needed troubleshooting, and monitoring student, Ignite fellow, and school site leadership satisfaction and success
 
YOUR EXPERIENCE
 
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role (minimum qualifications):
  • At least five years of experience in talent recruitment and matching
  • Significant experience setting strategic visions and managing others to reach ambitious goals
  • Ability to quickly develop and cultivate relationships with diverse internal and external collaborators and support them in contributing to a shared goal
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
  • Able to speak to and model our core values and commitment to racial equity and belonging
  • Track record of getting results while leading multiple projects and/or work streams simultaneously
 
BONUS (preferred qualifications)
  • Strong existing knowledge of Teach For America’s current strategic direction and the education and political landscape in Florida
  • Teach For America corps member and/or staff experience
  • History of engagement and involvement with Teach For America programs, events, and opportunities

The Programs and Impact team works closely with the Operations and Capabilities team and central Teach For America teams, including the Recruitment and Ignite teams and other regions.
 
YOUR COMPENSATION
 
The applicable salary range for each U.S.-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers according to a cost of labor index in that geographic area. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary ranges for this role are set forth below. These ranges may be modified in the future.
 
Tier 1 - $74,300 - $111,300
