JOB TITLE: STEM Recruiter and Student Success Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Division of Enrollment Management
SUPERVISOR’S TITLE: Vice President of Enrollment Management
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as a member of the admissions and recruitment team within the office of Admissions and Recruitment
- Coordinate VP for Enrollment, and Director for Admissions along with the Dean, Department Chairs and Faculty in the School of STEM on student recruitment and success initiatives
- Use best practices in STEM recruitment, success and retention
- Coordinate public events focused on STEM recruitment, create enthusiasms to motivate recruitment in STEM
- Enjoy working in the field and out of office as necessary to meet students
- Understand different social media platforms used in recruitment of qualified students
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse faculty, staff, and students
- Maintains current knowledge of Benedict College’s academic, spiritual, social, and financial aid programs, and communicates this information effectively to prospective students
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Degree in STEM preferred with three years of related work experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with a variety of computer applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Publisher) and spreadsheets
- Good driving record and enjoy working in the field
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and travel in-state and out of state
- Effective/timely completion of tasks
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills and excellent work habit
- Other required skills to include electronic and paper file management, organizational skills and excellent communications
- Other related duties as required by the Vice President for Enrollment Management
