Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Senior O&M Project Manager provides general oversight for the planning, coordinating, and managing of all building operational and maintenance programs in the Department of Residential Facilities. The incumbent is responsible for managing assigned site development projects, annual assessments of the residence hall ground, and planning site improvement projects/initiatives in coordination with the Department of Facilities Management. As part of the leadership team, this position ensures that O&M projects are completed according to established design, schedule, and budgetary requirements. The Associate Director of Facilities Maintenance supervises the Senior O&M Projects Manager of Facilities Maintenance.

Education:
A bachelor’s degree with 7 years of experience is required, preferably in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

A bachelor’s degree with 7 years of experience is required, preferably in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Experience:
- In Lieu of a bachelor’s degree, candidates are required to have 10 years of experience as a commercial construction superintendent, facilities manager, or construction manager of complex construction jobs/facilities environments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to independently perform inspections and surveys to evaluate existing conditions, define project priorities and determine corrective strategies.
- A thorough knowledge of commercial/institutional building material, equipment, finishes and systems are required.
- Ability to: Work effectively and communicate with a wide range of customers including students, building/program staff and division officials; Review and evaluate drawings, specifications (Mech, Elec, Arch, etc.) and other contract documents; Plan and coordinate multiple and various projects/tasks involving multiple customers and tight deadlines; Analyze and interpret engineering reports and complex technical problems.
- Proficiency in computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Experience with management of building restoration, building systems, retrofit and maintenance projects desirable is preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred .
- Certified Educational Facilities Professional (CEFP) certification is preferred
- Experience in Aerial Lift training or certification is preferred.
- Experience with Integrated Workplace Management Software, AssetWorks preferred.
Additional Certifications:
- Driver’s license with fewer than 6 points is required.
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $113,400-$141,750

- This position requires an onsite presence. May be able to work remotely one day per week or alternate schedule following a probationary period.
- Some evening and weekend work may be required.
- This position is an essential employee related to catastrophic, weather, or other emergencies and may be required to come to campus when the University is closed.

- Incumbent will be required to wear and work in personal protective equipment.
- Work will include repetitive motion, incumbent will be required to inspect work, involving bending, stooping, walking, and climbing.
- Will require extended hours and overtime work due to weather emergencies, delayed openings and early closings, and system changeovers.
