The Driver Safety Training and Vehicle Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the training of new and existing drivers across all classes of vehicles, collaborates with the maintenance team, and provides support for vehicle coordination and scheduling.

The Driver Safety Training and Vehicle Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the training of new and existing drivers across all classes of vehicles, collaborates with the maintenance team, and provides support for vehicle coordination and scheduling.
This role involves managing driver training activities, ensuring vehicle safety and maintenance, and coordinating vehicle operations in collaboration with various teams and stakeholders. This role also provides driver support to other teams in the organization when needed.
Job Roles
- Conduct driver training sessions for new and existing drivers on safe driving practices.
- Maintain accurate records of all driver training activities and certifications.
- Collaborate with teams to understand their specific driving needs and tailor training programs accordingly.
- Utilize DriveCam software to monitor and provide feedback to drivers and their supervisors.
- Coach drivers on improving their driving skills and addressing safety concerns.
- Ensure all drivers adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
- Work with diverse teams to tailor training programs to meet specific driving needs.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Coordinator to ensure effective communication of vehicle inspection results and address safety issues promptly.
- Coordinate with maintenance team to prioritize and address vehicle service and repair needs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance driver safety and maintenance procedures.
- Assist in tracking and confirming the scheduling of vehicles, including dispatching as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall operational efficiency, including driver support.
Experience/Specialized skills (including Language)
- 3-years related experience preferred.
- Previous experience in driver training and coaching.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and individuals.
- Proficiency in using DriveCam software or similar tools.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in driver training.
- Understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety standards.
- Experience in vehicle coordination scheduling, and dispatching is a plus.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the skills, knowledge, and ability to perform the essential job duties, and which meets any required state or federal certification requirements.
- Current American Heart Association Heart saver CPR AED Certification required within 90 days of employment.
- Requires an active California driver's license for the class required for operation of assigned vehicle; DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Age 21; Licensed for a minimum of 3 years; No violations and/or accidents within 3 years; No vehicle related suspensions/reinstatements.
- Must successfully be enrolled in the DMV pull program and meet organizational driving requirements prior to start date.

23.40 - 33.38If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
