POSITION SUMMARY
The Nursing Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating clinical agreements and placements for nursing and nurse aide students under the direction of the program directors and faculty. The Nursing Program Coordinator’s role involves collaborating with healthcare facilities, program directors, faculty, staff, and students to ensure a seamless clinical education experience. The coordinator will maintain strong relationships with clinical sites, oversee compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards, nursing and nurse aide program requirements and provide administrative support to the nursing department.OVERVIEW OF CCA

Clinical Placement Coordinator- Develop and maintain partnerships with various healthcare facilities to secure clinical placements for nursing and nurse aide students.
- Ensure Clinical Education Agreements and Memos of Understanding (MOU’S) are current and initiates renewal or new contract request as needed.
- Review agreements and MOU’s to ensure programs adhere to requirements and to notify program directors of any changes.
- Acts as liaison in consultation with faculty to interpret and match the needs of students and faculty with appropriate clinical experiences.
- Collaborates with faculty to coordinate and schedule clinical rotations, ensuring all students have appropriate placements that meet program requirements.
- Communicate plans for student placements in a timely manner, including dates, students, hours, preceptors, etc.
- Collaborate with program directors to maintain and update the clinical schedule at all times.
- Maintain placement records in an organized fashion and proactively plans placement 1 to 2 semesters ahead of rotation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the clinical sites, reporting to program directors and faculty any issues or concerns that arise.
- Promote positive working relationships with faculty and clinical placement partners.
- Maintain professional and timely communication through e-mail and phone with students.
- Ensure that all clinical placements comply with accreditation, regulatory, and program-specific standards.
- Maintain accurate records of clinical placements, student evaluations, and clinical site feedback.
- Assist in the submission of necessary documentation for accreditation and regulatory bodies.
- Provides all required documentation to clinical sites and provides attestation documents as requested.
- Coordinate specific training or assignments for students and clinical faculty prior to clinical experiences, such as HIPAA, OSHA, computer training, etc.
- Maintain files and records of all faculty, instructors, and students ensuring compliance and accuracy with agency and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure student compliance documents are current by the required deadlines.
- Assist students with problem solving for barriers in providing required program documents and referring to College resources as needed.
- Provide support to nursing and nurse aid students in preparing for and securing clinical placements, including orientation and onboarding process.
- Schedule information sessions for students related to paperwork completion, expectations, and requirements.
- Provide support to students in understanding the requirements and expectations for completing and submitting documents and communicate with the students until all required paperwork is completed.
- Collaborate with directors and faculty in the coordination of class list and distribution of attestation forms including all student and faculty information for each clinical facility prior to each clinical rotation per clinical site requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between students, faculty, and clinical sites to ensure communication and address any issues.
- Manage the clinical placement database and ensure all information is up to date and accurate.
- Prepare reports on clinical placement activities, student progress, and site evaluations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies procedures related to clinical placements.
- Work in designated applications for rotation and compliance set up as needed per clinical site and program.
- Additional duties as identified by program directors.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clinical site coordinators, preceptors, and other key partners.
- Organize and participate in site visits and meetings with clinical partners to ensure ongoing collaboration and quality of clinical education
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate or Associate Degree in health sciences, nursing or related field.
- Two years professional work experience in education, health care or related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with clinical placement software.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, nursing and/or a related field.
- Experience in an academic or educational setting, particularly in clinical coordinator or student placement, is preferred.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Salary Range: Anticipated starting salary range: $58,000.00 annually. This salary is determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate balanced with departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information. CCA offers an excellent benefit plan, including generous leave, holiday, and education benefits. Full time employees immediately upon hire earn 15 hours a month annual leave and 10 hours a month sick leave.
