Job Description

This position supports the Office of Student Financial Services by providing information about student accounts, financial aid and payment options to prospective and current students and their families. This position also performs needs analysis, completes verifications and awards financial aid according to federal and institutional guidelines.

 

Essential Duties Summary
  • Responds to daily incoming inquiries, calls and emails; ensures response time is meeting expectations. Researches and responds to concerns expediently.
  • Performs high quality student service in the SFS office and at Campus events including but not limited to orientation, exit counseling and other issues relating to financing higher education.
  • Provides outreach to students to assist with payment options, financial aid applications, and other student account requirements to cover account balances.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of federal financial aid regulations and related office policies and procedures.
  • Perform federal and institutional needs analysis, verify accuracy of information submitted on the FAFSA; award Title IV and institutional funds to eligible students.
  • Execute return to lender procedures for federal aid recipients who withdraw within a given term.
  • Administer or provide back-up for the work study program.

 

Required Qualifications
  • Title IV Financial Aid knowledge
  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multitask in a time sensitive environment
  • Bachelor’s degree

 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Banner experience strongly desired
