JOIN OUR GROWING TEAM! The Path Rescue Mission is a privately-funded, Christ-centered non-profit organization that provides long-term residential programming for men, women, and children struggling with addiction/recovery and homelessness.

We currently seek a COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR to support our Development Director and team -- a professional with passion for using various channels to create new and lasting relationships with donors and community partners in a variety of ways that support The Path's life-transforming work for men, women, and children without a home. Community Engagement is a connection process: Inspiring our donors and community partners to give according to the priorities of their heart-- whether it’s financial gifts, their time through volunteering, or items to donate.

Salary: $38,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year (based on experience) Hourly: $18.27/hr - $21.15/hr. Position can be part-time to start or full-time (will be discussed at interview).

The right individual will have strong planning, administrative, and organizational skills, including managing multiple deadlines. Results-oriented, able to follow through with assigned tasks and responsibilities. Also, in agreement with our Statement of Faith and our Christ-centered programs for a population struggling with brokenness, especially related to addiction/recovery, homelessness, and mental health issues.

This is an ONSITE position, although may be discussed at 1 year of employment and based on performance.

NO HEALTH BENEFITS AT THIS TIME. For full-time employees: we offer a monthly stipend/ addition to pay to use towards health benefits, five paid holidays, PTO beginning at six months of FT employment and an education/professional development benefit after 1 year of employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of our team, the right person will coordinate or assist with seasonal strategies to connect with assigned donor and community relationships.

Responsibilities can include:

· Project Coordination- Donor relationship activities, communications production schedules, event planning calendars, etc.

· Communication Strategies, Digital & Print- Community-focused, donor-focused, direct mail & newsletters, digital tools, social media: Coordinate or assist with content creation, editing, production or posting, preparing mailings, working with vendors & deliverables.

· Special Events- Coordinating and/or assisting the Development Team with event planning, participant invitations & response tracking, logistics, contracts, participant follow-up & other activities for Fundraising & Friend-raising events.

· Community Relations- Assisting the Development Team with media/PR, church & civic-group relations.

The ideal person is detail-oriented, a fast learner, and hands-on team player for coordinating/ assisting leadership with seasonal donor and community partner strategies. Our team is responsible for fundraising and friend-raising on behalf of The Path Rescue Mission. You are self-motivated, creative, able to manage multiple tasks, small projects and meet deadlines; a professional who demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal, communication, and written skills to accomplish the following:

  • Coordinate/assist with strategies that cultivate donors & financial donations using a variety of communication channels, activities, & vendors.
  • Prepare communications & follow up with new or existing donors.
  • Coordinate/assist with annual fundraiser event (team effort with other team members, volunteers & community partners).
  • Coordinate/assist with group-specific events as needed, both fundraisers & “friend” raisers (team effort with other team members, volunteers & community partners).
  • Coordinate/assist with print production of The Path’s newsletters, communications for donor programs, brochures, outreach material, etc. May include providing input or content as needed. Includes print & digital communications.
  • Be organized, focused, results-oriented, able to plan & follow through with assigned tasks & responsibilities.
  • Able to accomplish activities with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, MS Office. Be willing & able to learn new applications that support The Path’s philosophies. Will train on donor management software & other applications.
  • Have knowledge of The Path, its goals, program, policies & procedures & be equipped to answer questions.
  • Respectful & professional with Path clients, staff, volunteers, donors, vendors & the general public at all times. Public-relations focused.
  • Other activities to meet overall goals & objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

At least 2-3 years of relevant experience (support or hands-on) preferred in either of these areas: Teacher in a public or private school system, Marketing, Non-profit Fundraising and/or Public Relations. Experience working as an executive assistant or other supervisory role in these areas for a nonprofit organization, private school, church, rescue mission, or other residential program is a plus!

  • Proven ability to work with a diverse group of people. Have the ability to relate to the general public, staff, volunteers, vendors & clients of The Path, but also uphold The Path's mission & program goals.
  • Conduct all activities in a courteous & professional manner.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Strong planning, administrative & organizational skills, including managing multiple deadlines. Results-oriented, able to follow through with assigned tasks & responsibilities.
  • Be able to accomplish activities with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of computer apps & programs. Have proficient skills with MS Office applications.
  • Agree with the mission statement & core values of The Path & in compliance with The Path's policies & procedures as explained in the Employee Handbook.
