HJF is seeking a Physical Therapist I to provide professional skills coordinating and administering complex therapeutic and clinical education programs for physical therapy.
This position will be in support of the Extremity Trauma and Amputation Center of Excellence (EACE) at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. The EACE works to advance medical and scientific knowledge through relevant research that will optimize clinical care and quality of life for Service members and Veterans with traumatic extremity injuries and amputations. Responsibilities
- Oversees the implementation of study procedures.
- Supervises a program of physical therapy activities for to improve pain and function in patients with knee and shoulder pain.
- Modifies treatment as required and consults with the supervisor and study Principal Investigators regarding long term planning.
- Coordinates study activities with research assistants and other study team members.
- Treats and/or supervises the treatment of patients.
- Compiles reports and documentation for physical therapy and study activities.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.
- Supports additional ongoing research projects as applicable.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Master's degree required, Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Thorough knowledge of physical therapy materials and equipment and their economic and beneficial use.
- OCS, SCS, CSCS, and/or TSAC is preferred.
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a T3/Secret Clearance.
Licenses and Certifications
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist.
Work Environment
- This position will take place primarily in an outpatient clinic setting.
Compensation
- The annual salary range for this position is $64,200- $95,000. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
