JOB PURPOSE
The TDL Engineer II will be responsible for providing troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of Tactical Data Link (TDL) systems within a shipboard and shore lab facility environment.

- Provide TDL systems technical support of BMD interoperability testing, operations, and data collection in T&E environment.
- Support and/or lead system installation, operation, and maintenance of NGC2P, CDLMS, MLIU, C2P, C2PS, and TNP
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain TDL systems to include CDLMS, C2PS, LMMT, MOS, and JTIDS
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to operate both independently and in team environment to execute assigned tasking.
- Must be able to travel 10% or as needed.
- Must be willing to work extended shifts

Required:
- 4 year post secondary education, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from recognized University or should have at least 4 years' experience working with complex communications systems and equipment.
- Candidate must be a US Citizen
- This position requires an existing U.S. Government DoD granted security clearance/eligibility at the final Secret level. Individual must be able to maintain the necessary security clearance/eligibility for employment. U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Job Located at a U.S. Government Facility
- Must have experience with test, analysis, and troubleshooting of complex communications hardware problems for development and/or modification to C4I system hardware components.
- Experience in the configuration and operations of various TDL Test Tools including DLTT, LMMT, and NSITE
- Experience in design, installation, integration, and testing of complex communications systems.
- Ability to operate effectively in a team environment as well as independently and provide direct interface with customers.
- Familiarity with CDLMS, C2P, NGC2P/JRE, LOS and satellite communications, power supplies, and encryption devices desired.
- Experience with commercial and militarized documentation and configuration management.
- Four or more years in a C5I or C4I-SR military or DoD environment performing system validation and repair.
- Experience with Tactical Data Links and military networks.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the standards set forth in MIL-STD-3011 and STANAG 5518 (Interoperability Standard for the Joint Range Extension Applications Protocol (JREAP)).
Preferred:
- Experience as a U.S. Navy Track Supervisor/TIC and/or Force Track Coordinator.
- Familiarization of the J-Series message standard.
- Combat Systems (preferably Aegis or SSDS) operations experience supporting Missile Defense operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
