Job Summary
The Coordinator of Outreach & Enrollment’s primary responsibilities will include supervision of student workers. The Coordinator will manage recruitment initiatives including college fairs, high school recruiting, college visit days, dual credit and dual enrollment programs and the coordination of programs which support the enrollment efforts of the college. The successful candidate will represent the college both on and off campus to prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors and other individuals or organizations as they navigate the admission process. Evening and weekend work is required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks accurately and independently.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse groups of students and staff.
- Familiar with administrative processes, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic computer operations.
- Efficient in keyboarding, data entry, and office equipment use.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2-3 years of experience in a college environment, preferably. Student Affairs areas such as Admissions, Student Recruiting, Counseling, or Marketing in post-secondary education within a community college setting.
- Experience working with diverse groups of students.
Preferred Qualifications
- Community College experience
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Previous experience with organizing events, orientation programs or community engagement activities.
Physical Demands
- Work is normally performed in a general office environment.
- Work performed requires sensitivity and responsiveness to changing goals, priorities and needs.
- This position requires light physical activity and movement; employee must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups, and over the telephone or during virtual meetings. Must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects up to 25 pounds with the use of proper equipment. - Communicate with prospective students, parents and community through appointment, telephone, email and other materials.
- Coordinate the College’s participation in recruitment activities including high school/prospective student visitations, and college/career fairs. Represent the college at these and other related events.
- Develop and coordinate a campus tour program.
- Assist the Director and Coordinator of Dual Credit & K-12 Partnerships with daily operations of administering dual credit courses and agreements with partner high school and vocational centers, to provide a seamless transition for students.
- Collaborate with all academic divisions to provide consultation and direction in recruitment efforts.
- Develop and implement a college recruitment plan in collaboration with the Dual Credit team, Marketing department and other key stakeholders.
- Measure the performance of recruitment services by utilizing enrollment data to support initiative.
- Serve as a liaison to external groups and agencies. Participate in statewide recruitment activities and organizations.
- Manage student workers.
- Organize and supervise volunteers during college recruitment events.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate an orientation program, face to face and online, for traditional and nontraditional students.
- Provide ongoing communication with prospective students and high school guidance departments to answer questions and assist with the enrollment process.
- Manage automated/electronic communication methods activities through Ellucian Colleague CRM.
- Serve on committees, particularly those relating to recruitment, enrollment and those directed by Director of Dual credit & K-12 Partnerships, President, and Board of Trustees.
- Responsible for other duties as designated by the Director of Dual Credit & K-12 Partnerships.
