POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Content Strategy is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive content vision that drives brand growth, engages target audiences, and achieves business goals. This individual combine strategic expertise with exceptional writing skills to craft compelling narratives and oversee a high-performing team of content creators. They are a key player in ensuring cohesive messaging across all channels, optimizing content performance through data-driven insights, and acting as a steward of the brand's voice. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on contributor who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
STARTING SALARY: $120,000 annualized (exempt position).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- Experience:
- At least 8 years of professional experience in content strategy, marketing, or editorial roles.
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership or management position.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful content strategies.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong portfolio of work.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in content distribution across digital platforms (social media, websites, email campaigns, etc.).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Direct Reports: None.
Indirect Reports: None.
CONTACT RESPONSIBILITY:
Internal: Interacts with supervisor to receive general direction and instructions and/or review of work results. This position will work closely with colleagues in multiple departments.
External: Interacts with outside vendors, such as advertising, digital and PR agencies, printers, graphic designers, and copywriters to ensure the successful and accurate execution of promotional strategies.
PRIMARY WORK LOCATION, HOURS & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Office Location: Remote.
Work Hours: Generally standard office hours.
Travel: May require occasional travel to Alliant International University campus locations.
