Assistant Director, University Stewardship Initiatives

Job Description

Job Title

Assistant Director, University Stewardship Initiatives

Job Description

The Department of Development is charged with unlocking the grace of giving for alumni, parents, and friends to advance the sacred mission of Notre Dame. The Stewardship & Donor Relations team within Development partners closely with fundraisers to steward and cultivate donors to increase philanthropy. The responsibility of stewardship is shared throughout the University, and strong partnerships are fostered across the academy and in key areas such as Student Life and Athletics that help to educate the whole student — the mind, the body, and the heart.

The Assistant Director is responsible for project management of impact reporting, leadership acknowledgments, communications, recognition, and stewardship events in the Division of Student Affairs and Department of Athletics. If you are a dynamic individual who wants to work with a highly collaborative team where your work impacts this and future generations of Notre Dame students, join us!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with the Athletics Advancement Team and the Academic Advancement Director for Student Affairs to create and manage stewardship plans for principal benefactors and consult on strategic stewardship requests
  • Lead impact reporting and spending review for Athletics and Student Affairs funds
  • Execute a variety of assigned programmatic and individualized stewardship touches for University benefactors
  • Create and implement personalized best-in-class stewardship plans and engagement opportunities for top donors
  • Assist with projects to further advance stewardship across the University, including financial aid stewardship initiatives as assigned, working closely with the Program Director for Financial Aid Stewardship

Our hybrid scheduling with the team and support for your personal and professional priorities make this role a perfect match for you!

Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At the University of Notre Dame, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
