Research Technologist
Job Description
The Johns Hopkins University Department of Neuroscience is seeking a casual Research Technologist to perform laboratory tasks, complete complex and routine assays following established protocols and procedures.
Works under the general supervision of a faculty investigator and other laboratory members:
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing experiments and analyses involving anatomical approaches to the regulation of neurogenesis and cell fate specification in developing brain.
- Accountable for experiments and analyses involving histological analysis of glia-to-neuron reprogramming.
- Supervise ordering materials and supplies in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with good mouse colony management practice.
- Expected that general laboratory maintenance will involve no more than 25% of this position, the rest being devoted to experimental activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year’s wet lab experience in molecular neuroscience or related field.
- Some related post-undergraduate work experience.

Starting Salary Range: $15.70 - $26.25 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)
