Job Description

The Mobile Clinic Driver is responsible for operating and maintaining the mobile clinic daily while adhering to all motor vehicle codes and regulations. Ensures the vehicle's safety and performing light maintenance, such as verifying that all systems are operational, maintaining vehicle records, and conducting basic upkeep (e.g., cleaning, inflating tires, checking fluid levels). Additionally, the driver patrols UCSD Health premises, either on foot or in a vehicle, to protect life and property. This includes managing disruptive individuals professionally with minimal force, controlling access to restricted areas, responding to fire and security alarms, and taking command in emergency situations. The driver also observes and reports safety hazards, providing direction and assistance to customers as needed. As a supportive team member, the driver collaborates with the mobile health team to manage patient flow and assists with on-site registration and scheduling. The driver adheres to organizational and departmental quality service standards. Performs related duties may be assigned as appropriate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSFour (4) years of relevant experience.
Two (2) years of experience in commercial driving vehicles (long box truck).
Must have a valid CA commercial driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program
Must be a minimum of 25 years of age.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Ability to keep information confidential.
Must demonstrate and always use customer friendly demeanor and etiquette.
Ability to work with diverse individuals and those from historically marginalized backgrounds in a culturally sensitive manner.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks.
Ability to remain calm, focused, and helpful under stress.
Possess excellent communication skills and ability to follow through with assigned tasks.
Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish fluently.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $63,016 - $78,384 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $30.18 - $37.54
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
